Pint Sized Planeteers
For ages 18 months - 6 years

The Brandywine Zoo offers programs specially designed for children 18 months to 6 years old. These fun-filled frolics into the animal world may include a story, a live animal visit, and a craft. All children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult is admitted free for each participating child. Programs are held in the Education Building. Space is limited, so pre-registration is strongly suggested.
Fee: $8 per child; $6 per child for Delaware Zoological Society.

Focus: Jungle Jammin'! Feel the music flow through you in a WILD way in this program.

Focus: Turtle Talk! Calling all turtle lovers, come to this wonderful program about this fabulous animal that carries its home on its back!

Focus: Spring Peepers. Jeepers Creepers find out all about Spring Peepers and other fabulous frogs.

Focus: The Sounds Around. Hiss, Quack, Roarrrr...animals sure have a lot to say, find out what it all means in this program about animal language!

Focus: Ani-moves. Animals bend, twist, jump and prance. Do a little mixture of your own movement in this animal aerobic program.

Focus: The Frog Prince. Imagination comes to life in this program about a make believe frog prince! Join the fantasy by dressing up as your favorite storybook character!

Focus: Animal Inventors! Armor, swimming goggles, and even perfume were ideas inspired by animals! Find out more about animal inventors that helped inspire many helpful gadgets that we use every day!

Summer Zoo Internships for Teens Open House (Ages 13-18)
Calling all animal lovers! The Brandywine Zoo's Education Department is looking for committed teens (ages 13-18) to fill a select number of internship positions this summer.
If you like people and love animals, the zoo is the place for you. The Zoo's unique internship program offers teens a chance to work in the zoo assisting with summer camps and/or leading informal programs for the public. After successfully completing the application/interview process, all selected summer interns must attend the mandatory training session on Saturday, May 31.
Zoo staff and former teen interns will be on hand to answer questions and to show off the wonder that is the Brandywine Zoo! The Open House will meet in the Education Building, next to the Exotic Animal House. All are welcome to attend.

Earth Day Celebration 2009 - Party for the Planet

Take a walk on the WILD side this year in celebration of our fragile earth. Live entertainment, earth day-related games, crafts, live animal presentations and MORE are all part of the day's fun! Fee: FREE with paid admission to the zoo.
Party-Palooza at the Zoo-Za!

Boys and Girls of all ages bring your adult and your favorite stuffed animal to this fun event designed to discover what cool tools our zoo animals have to survive! You'll be surprised how much in common zoo animals have with your beloved stuffed animal! We'll explore the zoo together and participate in various fun, animal-related activities. We'll even enjoy sumptuous treats in celebration of animals! Fee $8/person; $6/person, Delaware Zoological Society Members.
Book Club & Potluck

Delaware Zoological Society Members Only, Teens & Adults Join Zoo Staff, Volunteers, and Animal Lovers as we discuss the book "A Walk In The Woods" by Bill Bryson. Pre-registration required, program meets in the Education Building. Fee: Delaware Zoological Society only Free Event.
Celebrating Wild Moms!

Endangered Species Day At Brandywine Zoo!
Friday, May 15: 10:00am - 2:00pm 3 yrs. and older
The Brandywine Zoo is home to many species of endangered animals, come and meet some up close and in person! More importantly, find out what YOU can do to save some of these cool species from becoming extinct. This event is GREAT for individuals and groups! Pre-registration strongly suggested. Fee: $2.00 per person, includes zoo admission!
International Migratory Bird Day

This event is for the birds! Learn more about our fine, feathered friends and their migratory mysteries! Flock to the zoo for a day full of fun bird games, activities, crafts, and more! For all ages. Free with paid admission to the zoo.
Senior Safari: Beverages, Biscuits, and BINGO at Brandywine Zoo!

Senior Adults For those that are young at heart, enjoy this special event at the zoo designed just for seniors! American Celebration
Saturday July 4: 10:00am - 4:00pm
For all ages
Wear red, white, and blue and show your American pride by celebrating our American Independence at the Brandywine Zoo. Enjoy patriotic games, crafts, live animal presentations, and more. Fee: Free with paid admission to the zoo. Free zoo admission for military personnel (showing military ID) and their immediate family (spouse and children.)

Come one, come all to the Bring the whole gang to the zoo for our annual holiday celebration. Help us decorate our zoo wildlife tree with edible treats that will give a winter lift to our wild friends. Share a warm winter snack and take this opportunity to wish your animal friends "Happy Holidays!" This is an outdoor event, so dress for the weather. This program is great for families and groups.
