The Education Department offers special programs for specific age groups except during the summer months. Read about some of the wonderful programs below. Note: Some programs require registration. If you have any questions, please call the Education Department at (302) 571-7850 ext. 208.

Story Time at the Zoo
All Ages - Especially the Young
Enjoy fun animal stories read by our own zoo story-telling team! Story time takes place in the otter circle of the main zoo and may include craft, activity or live animal presentation. Story time may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Please notify the zoo at DNREC_Parks_ZooPrograms@state.de.us if you have a group of 5 or more participants.Please check our calendar of events for specific topics.

Keeper Talks
Experience the zoo's amazing animals through the eyes of their keepers! Topics change daily, so there’s always something new to learn about one of our wild friends. Ages 6 - 18 months
The Brandywine Zoo is excited to continue a series of new programs geared toward babies ages 6-18 months old. Through hands-on activities we will help foster an early appreciation for our natural world. Pre-registration strongly suggested as space is limited. Walk-ins welcome if space is available.
All programs run from 9:30am - 10:15am.

Ages 18 months - 3 years
Through age-appropriate games, crafts, activities, and live animal presentations toddlers and their grown up can learn and play together! Pre-registration strongly suggested as space is limited. Walk-ins welcome if space is available.
